START TESTING? TEST PREP

Test early, Test often

Most 4-year colleges and universities require either the ACT or SAT. Be sure to research the school in which you’re applying to figure out which one is needed.

You should begin prepping for the test beginning 9th grade.

ACCUPLACER

ACCUPLACER is an integrated system of computer-adaptive assessments designed to evaluate students’ skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Some colleges are using this exam for admissions.

THE ACT

The ACT contains multiple-choice tests in four areas: english, mathematics, reading and science. ACT's writing test is optional and will not affect your composite score.

THE SAT

The new test is more focused on the skills and knowledge at the heart of education. It measures:

  • What you learn in high school

  • What you need to succeed in college
